VMware vSAN 6.6 Technical Overview

VMware官方於2017年05月05日正式上市發表VMware vSAN 6.6 超融合軟件定義的存儲
Software-Defined Storage, SDS 解決方案平台，支援原生超融合基礎架構加密能力、All-Flash SSD支援加速、穩定的可用性以及最廣泛的硬體平台支援(例如：Intel Optane SSD固態硬碟)，
透過VMware vSphere、vSAN與NSX 架構延展整合，將更進一步實現資料中心技術現代化。

VMware vSAN 6.6 System Requirements 系統需求：
1.Hardware Host

   ■1GB NIC, 10GB NIC recommended (All-Flash)建議伺服器採用10Gbps網卡.

     避免vSAN效能瓶頸卡在網路資料傳送端。

   ■SATA/SAS HBA or RAID controller. 磁碟陣列控制卡.

   ■At least one flash caching device and one persistent storage disk

     (flash or HDD) for each capacity-contributing node.

     至少有一顆SSD固態硬碟(當快取)與HDD傳統硬碟(資料存放區)未使用的磁碟空間。

   ■Min. 2 hosts~Max. 64 ESXi hosts. 最少兩台ESXi主機，最大支援到64台ESXi主機。

2.Software(vSAN已嵌入整合於ESXi 6.5.0d Hypervisor,輸入合法授權金鑰即可啟用)

   ■VMware vSphere 6.5d

     • VMware vSphere Hypervisor ESXi 6.5.0d

     • VMware vCenter Server 6.5.0d

     • ESXi Host VMkernel Enable vMotion Service

ESX6.x Host Client Throws Unhandled Exception (Using Google Chrome )

最近使用 Google Chrome 57.x 瀏覽器版本登入ESX6.5 Host Client 卻發生登入錯誤訊息：
Error: [$rootScope:inprog] http://errors.angularjs.org/1.3.2/$rootScope/inprog?

經過反覆測試確認，只要在 ESX6.5 Host Client輸入帳號、密碼後並直接按Enter按鍵登入，
就一定會發生下列錯誤訊息：

When you use the Chrome 57 to login to the Web Interface of the ESXi hosts,
the embedded host client reports the error stack similar to:

1.暫時解決方式：
使用其它瀏覽器 Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox 登入ESX6.5 Host Client.

2.實際解決方法：請將ESXi 6.x Host更新至 ESXi 6.5.0d，解決Chrome 瀏覽器不相容問題。

Install and Assign NSX for vSphere License

接續上一篇：Deploy VMware NSX 6.3.1 Manager Virtual Appliance

當部署安裝完VMware NSX Manager並登錄於VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.5系統

就可以準備透過vSphere Web Client來安裝和分配 NSX for vSphere License許可證。

PS.從VMware NSX 6.2.3版本開始，安裝後的預設許可證是NSX for vShield Endpoint License。

該許可證允許使用 NSX 部署和管理 vShield Endpoint 但僅提供防病毒卸載功能，

如果需要使用其它 NSX 功能：包括邏輯交換機、邏輯路由器、分佈式防火牆或 NSX Edge

必須購買 NSX License許可證以使用這些功能，或者申請評估許可證以短期評估這些功能。
